Taste. Nibble. Eat. Drink.
For The Love of Food Expo
Friday June 1st - Sunday June 3rd

For the Love of Food, explores shopping from local vendors and find a passion for creating yummy, healthy, food. Organic non-GMO Farmers from surrounding states will be in attendance. Tickets are limited to 2,000 attendees. Come join the 400 farmers and artisans showcasing their best products!
Strategic Plan - For the first time in FTLOF History, it will be in Chicago. Combine the hospitality of the midwest with the possibilities of shopping smart.
Creative Plan - We plan to bring a high energy environment to the hotel to educate locals and tourists alike on how easy it is to shop and cook with locally sourced, healthy foods. We will bring fun chefs willing to throw around some flames and heat.
Event Development - Local grocery stores can sponsor and advertise, as well as set up booths. Farmers and co-ops can also bring goods to sell to the public. Also, restaurants who serve local, vegan, and organic foods are welcome to bring chefs to demonstrate their skills and dishes. Spirits, Craft Beer, and wine vendors are allowed to come and pair drinks with food.

Event Evaluation - We will learn a lot from this convention! We will determine if Chicago is a good target audience and if they can adapt to new food choices. We will conduct pre and post event surveys to measure a change in lifestyle and shopping habits. Additionally, guests will be encouraged to engage with Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter to post and share. Social Media will track and repost / retweet to help make the event go viral..

Communication Strategy - Our key message is that cooking with locally sourced organic ingredients is fun, and easy! Fun because you may know the farmer, and easy because it’s not any different than normal shopping! We will communicate this through our chefs talking to guests, posters, and social media Our target audience is young families, and couples who want to think about cooking healthier options. Additionally, the generation who is settled in their careers and can afford to shop organically.
Event Execution - We want to give the guests more than they ever expected. With the hotel on display, we want guests to explore environmentally and health conscious lifestyle options and foods without feeling like it is a lot of effort. We will also have a silent action and music to keep the environment lighthearted. Additionally, event managers will be posted throughout the space so guests can voice their comments to leaders.
